meet your coach

​Hi, I'm Nancy! Right out of college, I started a 20-year career in a high tech field in Silicon Valley. Over time, I was promoted and began a family, which meant increased responsibilities, newfound levels of stress, and longer hours. Day by day, year after year, my health started to decline. I no longer seemed to have time to exercise, be mindful, or consistently integrate healthy food into my daily routine.


After several years of minimal self-care and giving my all to everyone else, I became very ill. 6 months and 5 doctors later, we figured out that I was suffering from a severe case of adrenal fatigue. I had a laundry list of symptoms; brain fog, exhaustion, bloating, vertigo, confusion and mood swings were the worst. I actually felt like a walking zombie!

I knew this wasn’t me. This wasn’t how I grew up. I was raised in an active household, and I lived a balanced life. My passion was always health and endurance sports: I enjoyed long bike rides, running in the hills, and skiing because they gave me strength, clarity and happiness. I fueled my body with the right nutrition and stayed hydrated. The mental flow of physical activities is what grounded me, and kept me peaceful, happy and healthy.

 

Naturally, I knew how I had arrived at this point, and I realized I needed improvements in my health, mind and body. I knew what to do (much like we all do)! I needed to get rest, eat good quality food, take supplements, meditate regularly and set boundaries. For the first time in a long time, I decided to OWN MY HEALTH, and it was a battle that I was prepared for and determined to win. 

So, I began working with a Health and Life Coach. Over the next year, I was able to uncover where I was stuck in my thinking, how to set intentions, be mindful, and carve time out for daily self-care. I focused on healing my body from the adrenal fatigue, and I reset my intentions to balance my life moving forward. I learned what foods my body needed to heal, and I integrated them into my everyday routines while eliminating toxic foods and ways of thinking.

 

I decided to OWN MY HEALTH, and it was a battle that I was prepared for and determined to win.

About 6 months later, I was strong enough to add workouts into my routine. 8 months later my symptoms were basically gone. I was working out 3-5 days a week and meditating every morning. Overall, my strength, clarity, and energy were better than they had been in years. My inner Chi was back!

 

Due to these life changes, I was motivated to listen to my heart and find a way to serve others, all while fulfilling the desires of my own heart and mind. Once I was exposed to the incredible life changing impact health, life and mindfulness coaches can make, I was inspired to dive headfirst. This journey took a hold of me and—BOOM!--I knew it was time for me to become a Health and Mindfulness Coach. Now, I am certified and trained to serve people in a profound way.
